Katherine is a dedicated Embodyoga® teacher and a long-time student of the grace and wisdom of Patty Townsend. Katherine bows to the brilliance of Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen and Body-Mind Centering® where she learned how the differentiation of our anatomy underlies unity and how our embryological development is the foundation for all movement. Katherine's meditation teaching and practices are continually inspired by the deep insight and understanding of Judith Blackstone and The Realization Process®. And Katherine's appreciation of yogic philosophy comes from Rajanaka Yoga and Douglas Brooks.
In her yoga classes Katherine endeavors to provide a safe and nurturing experience for beginners, advanced students, and students with physical limitations alike. By honoring the individual she guides students toward strength, flexibility, and awareness and an embodied sense of self. Her current particular interest is teaching yoga to assist in the recovery of eating disorders.
Katherine especially appreciates the way a regular yoga practice has helped her relax into change.
